The information we have about you will only be information that you have freely given us such as email address and/or home address and/or telephone number. However, legal protection is required therefore please take time to read the data protection information below.
Data Protection and Information Sharing
All information you provide or we obtain about you will be held securely whether electronically or in paper files in accordance with the principles of the Data Protection Act. These principles state that information must be:
· fairly and lawfully processed
· processed for the purposes it was collected
· adequate, relevant and not excessive
· accurate and up to date
· not kept for longer than is necessary
· processed in line with your rights
· kept securely
· not transferred to other countries without adequate protection
We will NOT share or sell your data to other third-party organisations for any purposes including marketing or promotion of goods and services.
What rights do I have to see information about me?
You have the right to request a copy of any information held about you in the Neighbourhood Plan’s records in accordance with your legal rights of Subject Access under the Data Protection Act 1998. The Town Council are the legally responsible body in this process so any requests for information to which you are entitled should go via:

Once we have ascertained your identity the requested information will be provided within 20 working days.
If you are not happy with anything on your file or if corrections are required, you can make a request enter a comment on the file or ask for the item to be removed or updated.
